I’ve been working at the Hospital for the past few months, and I’ve noticed that a large number of doctors own iPads. And not just own iPads, but spend disproportionate amounts of time of their iPads in between patients. At first I assumed they were just taking a break and catching up on some current news, but I never guessed that they could actually be working on their iPads.
The FDA recently cleared a radiology app for the iPhone and iPad that will let physicians view medical images including MRI, CT and PET scans (Wall Street Journal)
So perhaps for those Premeds itching to try out the new technologies, this might just be your excuse. The indulgences of today are fast becoming the tools of the future.
